I designed myself an image for my FB cover photo. I wanted to say with word and image that Skateboarding is a sport that takes on its own form of creativity and the street spots that we skate are transformed into our playground.

Things are Hard before they are Easy

I just decided to create a typography piece that uses a saying that I agree with. Just keeping my creativity going.

Porker Poster

This was one of my first posters that I ever did. I had to design a poster with the theme of pigs and the theme had to replace the theme of a film poster.

Object Story

These are a few stills from a video I created for a project called 'object story'. For the project I created a kinetic typography piece. I tried to get across the point of looking at light in a way that you would not normally look at light. For example someone could look at light and it could spark a thought or some sort of imagination.

Roadrunner Merchandise

These are the edits for the clothing for roadrunner skateboards. They just needed the new logo applied to the clothes. They should be getting printed soon.

Final Board Design

This is the final board design that will be sent off for print. It will be nice to see the full size board.

This is the finalised logo for roadrunner skateboards. the logo was agreed upon at a meeting with them and a vote was cast on the design. This is the logo that got the most votes. Some changes are going to be made to the other designs I have done e.g. t-shirts, badges etc.

These are some of my sketches from my moleskine sketchbook. I have been getting back into the drawing side of art just recently so I thought that i would share some of these sketches. Some are from images I like and some skteches are straight up out of my head.

T-Shirt Designs

This has also been designed for the easy use of screen printing therefore they can easily be made and can be worn by the team riders to promote the company.

Hoodie Design

This is a design for the roadrunner skateteam. this is the team hoodie design for the team riders to wear to promote the brand to customers when they skate. This design has been setup so that it can easily be screen printed therefore they are quicker and easier to produce.

Hopefully this will be the final design but I suppose only time will tell I will keep the blog updated when the design has been chosen.

Decks For Voting

These are the designs that I have com up with for the RoadRunner Skate team to choose from. There are a few designs that I really do not like and hopefully these boards will not be picked. When the designs have been finalised by the team they will be sent of to be printed.

Roadrunner Website

This is the website that I have created for the RoadRunner Skateboards company. I have used the wood effect for the background as this is the primary element to skateboards. Also as the company wants to show off it's heritage of Stoke-on-Trent I found it fitting to add tea stains, as if the mug rims had been on this wood. The site contains links to their videos, team, and store etc.

I got commissioned to create a new brand identity for the roadrunner skateboards company. this is the design that I came up with. It has kept a lot of the old logos features however I have used the central circles to indicate a wheel. I kept the design quite similar so that people who are associated with this brand will still be able to see that this is the same company.

Revive final logo

I completely forgot to upload the final design of the revive logo. I changed the design to a Phoenix to show the power, strength and the literal meaning of revival as the phoenix is reborn from the ashes.

This is my new business card design from my re-branded logo. It feels as if I am improving with my graphic skills over these past 2 years.

Revive Logo (First Draft)

I am having a fair bit of trouble with this logo as the brand wants to portray warmth, welcoming and power and action. maybe I am barking up the wrong tree with this fiery droplet design, it does not say the things it should be so any ideas anyone or feedback? guess its back to the drawing board.

Glass Association Logo

I received a brief from the glass association who wanted to have their logo re-branded. My response to this piece was this design, I looked mainly into how glass items are created. They use a technique called glass blowing where they twist and mould molten glass into different shapes and forms. This is how the logo's symbol came from, it is just an abstract version of this process. One of the requirements was to appeal to younger and the older existing members. I did this by using a font which is easy to read and I have used the colour blue to keep the design neutral to both age groups. Also older people with poor eye sight find blue an easy colour to look at and these are the people the glass association have already and want to keep.

KKS Blog Logo

This is the logo that I have designed for KKS Blog. the design is based on giving the brand a natural feel along with something that is clear and easy to read.

Nexus Logo and Website mock-up

This is a logo that I have designed for Nexus. Nexus is an Architectural website that has hosted a competition to re-brand their company. I saw this site and had to do a logo for it even though the competition is over. The logo's that were sent in were in my opinion not too good as mainly architects were doing the logo's. For this logo I wanted to show how structured architects are within their work so i have produced this pattern of triangular shapes within this circle to show the shape and structure of buildings and the circle represents the community of architects. I have chosen the typeface Georgia to add this sense of structure and I have given the design this burgundy colour to make the company modern.

This is just a quick mock-up of the website that I have designed to go along side the logo. It has a simple structure which has been designed to be clear and easy to navigate.
